As part of its strategy to increase access to safe and child friendly outdoor play facilities, using allocated funds in the 2020 budget, the Department of Local Government has managed to construct 2 playgrounds ( Ste Ange Estate, Takamaka and Perseverance 2) and refurbish 8 more:
Pointe La Rue
Grand Anse Praslin
Anse Boileau
Roche Caiman
Port Glaud
Baie Lazare
Perseverance 1 and Mont Fleuri.
Toys have already been installed at Perseverance 2 and in the upcoming months, contractors will be constructing a hall and a toilet.
These playgrounds is public and will be also be used to organized playful learning activities for children from Day Cares and Childminding services.
